Airport celebrates inaugural flight from PEI to Orlando
Charlottetown Airport is celebrating today as WestJet launches non-stop weekly service from Charlottetown, PEI to Orlando, Florida.
Doug Newson, CEO of Charlottetown Airport noted, "We are very pleased to see WestJet launch this exciting new product for our market.” He added, "Orlando is one of the top 5 most visited cities in the US and more convenient access makes it easier for Islanders to visit their world-famous theme parks, beaches or depart on a cruise holiday.”
The seasonal weekly service from Charlottetown to Orlando begins today, Friday, December 18th, 2015 and will run every week until April 29th, 2016. The flight will depart Charlottetown at 4:50 p.m. Passengers today will take part in a special celebration to commemorate the new flight.
